PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti
In January of 2012, Haiti suffered a catastrophic 7.0M earthquake. An estimated 3 million people were affected by the quake, including 316,000 casualties, 300,000 injured and 1,000,000 left homeless.
In response to the overwhelming devastation, Executek International’s strategic global affiliate DIMERSAR (Disaster Management, Emergency Response, Search and Rescue), provided humanitarian aid to the people of Haiti through a search and rescue effort coordinated by the United Nations. Executek associate, Gary Foo led a Medical Urban Search and Rescue Response (USAR) team into the rubble that helped to save the lives and ease the suffering of hundreds of thousands of wounded and displaced Haitians.
